story ——

Story —
Inspired by the gentle ripples on the water’s surface, yuragi is an incense holder that embodies the quiet harmony of opposites—order and irregularity, stillness and movement.
Rooted in the Japanese aesthetic of “stillness and motion,” the design expresses movement through the plate and stillness through the sphere that supports it. The delicate beauty that emerges between balance and fluctuation is captured in glass.
The paulownia wood box created to house yuragi is also custom-made exclusively for this piece. The cool, transparent nature of glass is softly embraced by the warmth of the wood.
It can be used as a storage box for the incense holder,
or as a container for small personal items.
⸻
All Helin glass products are created in a quiet workshop in Kyoto.
Each piece is shaped entirely by hand, not by machine, making every item truly one of a kind.
Subtle differences in form, the way light reflects, and the gentle variations in each piece all contribute to its unique character.
Together with a paulownia wood box specially crafted for yuragi,
it will be delivered to you with care.
